Alors que l’installation de Lagazel Bénin entre Porto Novo et Cotonou était encore en cours, un premier projet de stations a vu le jour dans une école de la commune de Djabata (Région des Collines, Bénin). Financée par l’association française Burkina Kelegre, l’opération a permis d’équiper les classes de CM1 et de CM2 en lampes solaires LK1500 et LK3000. Pour en bénéficier, chaque famille doit contribuer à la cagnotte mise en place pour anticiper d’éventuels besoins de maintenance : les conditions de cotisations ont été fixées en interne par les différentes parties prenantes. Pour l’instant, l’association a offert 80 lampes solaires pour une station avec 40 emplacements de recharge : une rotation est donc opérée pour la charge des lampes (un jour sur deux). Néanmoins, ce projet pourra être complété et/ou répliqué. Burkina Kelegre l’a en effet financé grâce à la revente, en France, de lampes Lagazel auprès de son réseau : des activités qui se poursuivent depuis la mise en œuvre de ce premier pilote, et qui permettront sans doute bientôt d’y donner une suite !
While the installation of Lagazel Benin between Porto Novo and Cotonou was still in progress, a first project of collective charging stations was launched in a school in the commune of Djabata (Collines region, Benin). Funded by the French association Burkina Kelegre, the operation allowed to equip the classes of CM1 and CM2 with solar lamps LK1500 and LK3000. In order to benefit from the project, each family must contribute to the kitty set up to anticipate possible maintenance needs: the contribution conditions have been set internally by the community. For the moment, the association has offered 80 solar lamps for a station with 40 recharging spots: a rotation is thus operated for the charging of the lamps (one day out of two). Nevertheless, this project could be completed and/or replicated. Burkina Kelegre has funded it thanks to the resale of Lagazel lamps in France through its network: activities that have been going on since the implementation of this first pilot, and that will probably allow a follow-up soon!
