Solidarity projects

Solar and solidarity solutions in support of the United Nations’ sustainable development goals

Did you know that? In Africa, nearly 650 million people have no access to electricity. These families use kerosene lamps or batteries, which are dangerous for their health and costly for their budget. Students have difficulty studying: “They come back without dealing with the exercise under the pretext that they do not have electricity at home”, explains a school director in a village in Burkina Faso. Economic activities are limited as soon as it gets dark, around 6 p.m. all year round. Solar lamps offer the opportunity for these families to access quality, sustainable and cost-effective lighting.

Perfectly adapted to solidarity projects, the collective charging station can simultaneously recharge 40 solar lamps. An innovative low-tech solution developed by Lagazel, the station is manufactured in Lagazel’s African workshops and in partnership with local training centers, thus contributing to the training of young people and the industrial development of the African continent.
