En janvier 2020, l’association Lumassan et son partenaire, l’entreprise burkinabè BH SING, ont réalisé un projet d’accès à l’énergie dans deux écoles et un centre de santé de la commune de Tita au Burkina Faso. Une station de charge avec 20 lampes solaires a été offerte à chacune des écoles. Elle permet de recharger pendant la journée les lampes qui servent ensuite à la réalisation des devoirs, sur place. A ce jour, l’utilisation de ce matériel par les élèves est gratuite, mais la mise en place d’un système de cotisation est envisagée afin d’anticiper les questions de maintenance et de remplacement. Au centre de santé, c’est un kit solaire Sobox Power qui a été installé pour faciliter la prise en charge des patients de nuit.
Le projet continue ! En août 2021, face au succès rencontré par la première phase du projet un an et demi plus tôt, Lumassan et BH SING ont décidé d’aller plus loin. Après avoir bénéficié d’un kit solaire, le centre de santé a accueilli sa première station de charge collective, ainsi qu’une dizaine de lampes solaires. De leur côté, les deux écoles de la localité, qui avaient déjà reçu chacune une station, ont bénéficié davantage de lampes solaires : une quinzaine chacune. Une fois de plus, c’est le technicien de BH SING qui a réalisé les installations et qui va prendre en charge la maintenance : jusqu’à ce jour, aucun dysfonctionnement à signaler.
In January, 2020, the French association Lumassan and its partner, the Burkinabe company BH SING, carried out an energy access project in two schools and a health center in the city of Tita in Burkina Faso. A charging station with 20 solar lamps was offered to each school. It allows to recharge the lamps during school days and to use them after class for homework on the spot. To this day, the use of this equipment is free, but the introduction of a contribution system is being considered in order to anticipate maintenance and replacement. At the health center, a Sobox Power solar kit was installed to facilitate patients care at night.
The project continues to grow! In August 2022, facing the success of the first phase of the project started one and a half year before, Lumassan and BH SING decided to go deeper. After benefitting from a solar kit, the health center welcomed its first collective charging station with ten solar lamps. On their side, the two schools of the locality which had already received a station each, were given more solar lamps: fifteen each. Once again, the technician from BH SING realised the installation work and will be responsible for maintenance: until today, no dysfunction to report.
